This garden, which is situated in the middle of Praça de 9 de Abril, in Porto, was inaugurated in 1928. It owes its name to the water reservoirs in Paranhos, an area of Porto, which supplied many of the city's fountains and springs in times gone by.

There is a lake in the garden with lots of animals, an artificial grotto and trees which are so graceful that you'll want to stop and admire them.

You'll find a sculpture here by Charters de Almeida, which was inaugurated in 1972 and is called 'A Família' (The Family).

Location: Praça de 9 de Abril, Porto
