The Parque Urbano da Pasteleira is a public park with an area of 7 acres enclosed by a wall. With an intense groove of trees, this is a place for socializing and leisure, ideal for a more direct contact with nature, but also for the practise of sports.

The pathways are made of granite, a stone that you can see in many of the buildings in Porto. The maritime pines and cork oak trees there are the last remains of natural vegetation in the Porto area.

In 2009 a cycle lane was created that stretches for two kilometres, connecting Parque da Pasteleira to Parque da Cidade and, from there, there is another cycle lane which connects to the cycle lane from Foz to Ponte D. Luís (the old bridge).
