Porto Disabled Facilities

The city’s buses, metros and trains have access for the disabled although Porto’s vertiginous hills make travel rough for those with limited mobility. The old tramlines don’t have disabled access. Providing access for the disabled is mandatory in public buildings, and quite a few private buildings are following suit.
There’s still a lot more work to be done, but awareness of disabilities is improving steadily, if rather slowly.
