Between 29 September and 9 October, Praça D. João I, in downtown Porto, will receive the 5th edition of the Francesinha festival, which will feature the participation of five iconic brasseries of the Invicta city: Capa Negra, Cufra, Café Santiago, Madureira’s and Porto Beer.
From the most traditional to the most avant-garde recipes, such as vegetarian francesinha, several suggestions will be presented during these eleven days.
Chefs Álvaro Mendes, António Vieira, Luís Américo and Pedro Moura Bessa will be challenged to create their interpretations of this typical dish from Porto, duly combined with Super Bock beers.
The "Francesinha na Baixa" festival will begin on 29 September, at 7 p.m., and on the remaining days it will be open between noon and midnight. Admission is free Monday to Friday, from noon to 5 p.m., having a 3-euro cost per person from that time, which includes a Super Bock Original beer. And the youngsters were not forgotten, as this event will have children's menus and free entrance up to 12 years old.
