Parque de Serralves is among the 250 most notable gardens in the world and is included in the list of gardens in the book ‘The Gardener’s Garden’, published by Phaidon.
Parque de Serralves was designed by Jacques Gréber in 1932 and has been classified as a National Monument since 2012. It is remarkable as a historic garden that combines both classical and modern styles.
This book's list of gardens (containing 1,200 illustrations on around 500 pages) includes four Portuguese gardens: Quinta da Regaleira (Sintra), Gardens of the Marqueses de Fronteira Palace (Lisbon), Terra Nostra Garden (Azores) and Quinta do Palheiro (Madeira).
