In 2014, Porto’s airport, the Aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro, was considered the third best airport in Europe by the Airports Council International (ACI). The top two were Moscow and Zurich.
Between 2006 and 2011, this airport had been placed among the top three, reaching the top place in 2007.
These results were based on passenger opinion questionnaires assessing 34 indicators, including waiting time, cleanliness of the facilities, comfort and customer service provided by airports.
