This space is more towards the north of Porto in what was a former residential area.
This farm was purchased in the 20th century by a merchant called José de Covelo. Hence the name of this park. After several changes, the park now has a playground, a café terrace, a playing field and an Environmental Education Centre.
It is very popular for playing sports and because of the playground, children like to come here to have fun. It is spacious and has plenty of trees, so it's good for having a stroll and sitting down to relax. If you want to read a book, Parque do Covelo has tables and benches where you can also have a picnic.
